Welcome to the home page of LINC, Lab for Information Networks and Communication at the University of Tabriz, Tabriz, Iran.

The LINC is a research office, dedicated to research and innovation in the domains of future information and communication networks, systems and services. Information and communication technologies, systems and services are considered today as a key element in the evolution of the digital society. The domain spans a wide range of research topics (from network sciences and technologies to information theory) and encompasses new paradigms like the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, nano-networks, content-centric systems and cloud computing and networking, which together with the evolution of existing systems like mobile networks, are becoming key enablers for enhancing quality of life and optimizing industrial and business processes.

Post-Doctoral Position

We are looking for a full-time postdoc in the field of Wireless Communication and Information Systems. The position is available in the LINC group, University of Tabriz, IRAN.

The successful applicants will be engaged in research projects related to next generation wireless networks from an information or a communication theoretical point of view. Candidates with strong analytical skills in wireless communication theory ‎ are encouraged to apply.‎ The successful applicants must hold a PhD In Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other relevant disciplines. ‎A high level of self-motivation, a strong publication record, very good English communication skills (oral and writing), and the ability to work independently, as well as, in a team are essential. They may also be actively engaged in student mentoring. He/she will also be required to deliver regular reports related to the associated project.

The location of the position is the Lab for Information Networks and Communication (LINC) at University of Tabriz, East Azerbaijan Province, IRAN. ‎The initial term of the position is for 1 year, with possibility of renewal up to two additional years, based on mutual interest.

4^th West Asian Symposium on Optical and Millimeter-wave Wireless Communications (WASOWC2022)

The 4^th West Asian Symposium on Optical and Millimeter-wave Wireless Communications (WASOWC2022) is hosted at the University of Tabriz (TMU), Tabriz, Iran.  WASOWC2022 aims to bring together researchers from academia and industry to share their latest findings in the field of optical & millimetre-wave wireless communications as part of the 5th Generation and beyond wireless netwroks. The 5rd Symposium will also include workshops, invited and keynote speakers. High quality and original technical papers are welcome to be presented at WASOWC2022.

7th Iranian Conference on Radar and Surveillance Systems

Malek Ashtar University of Technology will host the 7th Iranian Conference on Radar and surveillance Systems. This conference will be held in November 2020 in Tehran with the slogan of radar in the service of security and development with the aim of thinking of more and more experts and presenting the latest achievements in this field. A review of the latest radar technologies, the challenges ahead in designing, manufacturing, and specialized surveys of various areas of radar are among the most important topics in the seventh Iranian Radar Conference and Care Systems.

17th International ISCISC Conference

For the past sixteen years, the International ISC (Iranian Society of Cryptology) Conference on Information Security and Cryptology (ISCISC) has been the flagship conference in information security and cryptology in Iran. About Conference: The term “smart city” has recently re-emerged with a focus on data analytics facilitated through the Internet of Things technology (IoT) . The 8th Iran Workshop on Communication and Information Theory (IWCIT) will take place at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran on  May 26th, 27th  and 28th. ICEE 2020 Conference

University of Tabriz is honored to host the 28^th Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE 2020) in co-operation with the permanent secretariat of ICEE. This conference will be held on 26-28 May 2020. The ICEE 2020 is programmed with the aim of extending the technical knowledge to provide a forum for exchanging technical and scientific findings, presenting the latest research results, and encouraging the participation of researchers.

The 6th Iranian Conference on Radar and Surveillance Systems

The 6th Iranian Conference on Radar and Surveillance Systems will be held on 20-22 November 2019 at Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran.This is the 6th radar and surveillance systems conference series in Iran after the first five successful conferences. The conference aims to introduce the latest technological development and academic research hot issues of the radar technology, especially the latest researches and applications of civilian radar technology. It will provide a platform for radar experts and technicians to exchange ideas and achievements.
